Application Tracker: Rejection, now with more spam!

Posted in Absurdities,Process Stories by Arnold Pan on March 1, 2010

About a month ago, I received a rejection letter for a Postdoctoral Fellowship to which I applied.  It wasn’t exactly a surprise, considering there were hundreds of applicants and the specific theme of the postdoc didn’t exactly fit with my research (at least not without a little creative embellishment to make it fit that didn’t work in the end).

On Friday, I received another email from the host institution which rejected my application–this time with an attachment to its newsletter!  So maybe spam is now a consolation prize.
